Native Sons Archives (NSA)


The Native Sons and Daughters of Kansas City was organized on January 20, 1932, and incorporated as a non-profit on January 3, 1938. The Native Sons is devoted to the history of people, events, and landmarks significant to the early and current development of the city. Among their projects was the collection of the Native Sons Archives.

This collection is comprised of the organizational records of the Native Sons and Daughters of Kansas City. Included are meeting minutes and Secretaries' files; Treasurers' files; membership records; Curators' files consisting chiefly of correspondence with researchers; the President's files; general correspondence; historical information; and other materials related to the operation of the organization. 1931-1989.
