Falor, Crabb, and McGennis Families Collection (0852kc SHS)

The collection chiefly consists of business records relating to the operation of the families' farms in Hopedale, Illinois; Sprague, Missouri; and Rich Hill, Missouri. The records include invoices and receipts for goods and services purchased; records of commissions on livestock and crops; shipping records; deeds, wills, leases, and other legal documents; and business correspondence on a variety of subjects. Financial records include account books; bank books for checking and savings accounts; promissory notes and IOU's; and tax receipts. Personal correspondence is chiefly the Crabb's, and there is a series of diaries kept by Mary Ann McGennis. ca. 1852-1985.
