Boothe Coal Company Records (KC0098)

The Boothe Coal Company was incorporated according to the laws of Missouri in 1934 with headquarters at Mosby, Missouri, in Clay County. The company^'s mine was located in Section 13, Township 52, Range 31, west of Mosby, Missouri. The officers of the Company were J.E. Boothe, President; S.E. Boothe, Vice-President; and Charles C. Tapp, Secretary and Treasurer. The Company^'s mine apparently operated from 1936 to the close of operations on June 16, 1953.

These records consist of sales records for the Company for early 1953; quarterly pay records compiled for reporting employee wages for the Workman's Compensation Payment program of the State of Missouri (1938-1953); and calculations used to determine royalties to be paid to concerned property owners (1938-1950). ca.1936-1953.
