Boothe Coal Company Records (KC0098)


The Boothe Coal Company was incorporated according to the laws of Missouri in 1934 with headquarters at Mosby, Missouri, in Clay County. The company's mine was located in Section 13, Township 52, Range 31, west of Mosby, Missouri. The officers of the Company were J.E. Boothe, President; S.E. Boothe, Vice-President; and Charles C. Tapp, Secretary and Treasurer. The Company's mine apparently operated from 1936 to the close of operations on June 16, 1953.

These records consist of sales records for the Company for early 1953; quarterly pay records compiled for reporting employee wages for the Workman's Compensation Payment program of the State of Missouri (1938-1953); and calculations used to determine royalties to be paid to concerned property owners (1938-1950). ca.1936-1953.
