Woodford Martin (1843-1929) Papers (KC179 SHS)


Woodford Martin was born at Savannah, Missouri and was educated in the local schools. In 1866 he married Louisa Goodloe and had two sons. Mrs. Martin's death in 1869 prompted Martin to enter medical school in Louisville, Kentucky. Upon being licensed as a physician, he settled in Savannah, Missouri, and became the first official physician for Andrew County. He practiced medicine in Savannah for nearly sixty years before he died.

This volume is a patient register which Woodford Martin maintained. It lists the names of the individual patients and the services he rendered to them or their families. 1905-1926
