Kansas City Real Property Ownership Plat Book (KC191)

The title page of the volume indicates it was compiled and updated by the Gallup Map and Supply Company in order to provide "prompt and efficient service on real estate ownership reports, [and] lease, tax, loan and all property information." The volume was apparently distributed to affiliated members of the Kansas City Real Estate Board. The William Rockhill Nelson Trust dealt in real estate property as a normal function of its business of investing funds which were used to build, maintain, and support the William Rockhill Nelson Art Gallery and the Mary Atkins Museum. The area covered by the volume extends roughly from the Missouri River (Front Street) south to 40th Street and from Union Avenue east to Troost Avenue. Sections within the volume pertain to major streets in Kansas City, Missouri, and include plat maps and lists of property owners for each lot in each block fronting on the named street. ca. 1929-ca 1932
