Can I Change My Username?

At this time we are bound to the 3x3 user naming system for student accounts.  (Three initials, plus 3 alpha-numerics)  This was a necessity to scale unique usernames for students across the entire UM-System.  This covers UMKC, UMSL, UMR, Mizzou, and the UM Hospitals while staying under an 8 character limit that was imposed by some systems that are a part of the UM-System wide SSO project.

If you feel your current email alias could be potentially offensive, please contact the UMKC Call Center at either 816-235-2000 or callcenter@umkc.edu and we will make special one-time arrangements to fix your account.
