Can I Change My Username?
At this time we are bound to the 3x3 user naming system for student accounts. (Three initials, plus 3 alpha-numerics) This was a necessity to scale unique usernames for students across the entire UM-System. This covers UMKC, UMSL, UMR, Mizzou, and the UM Hospitals while staying under an 8 character limit that was imposed by some systems that are a part of the UM-System wide SSO project.
A system has been developed to allow for one custom, non-offensive email alias for your Exchange account. To personalize your e-mail account, go to this link: http://www.umkc.edu/current/emailname.asp.
