Scope of the Collection: Purpose is to collect published and unpublished materials documenting the history of DeKalb County.

Description of Collection holdings: Genealogical material includes clippings from old newspapers, publication of our nine local townships, cemeteries, and etc. The DeKalb County Courthouse is located across the street from us if anyone is interested and is available for those who wish to do their own genealogy research.

Scope of the Collection: History of the Catholic community in West and Northwest Missouri.

Description of Collection holdings: Materials include: records, correspondence, scrapbooks, photographs, and memorabilia of the former dioceses of Kansas City and St. Joseph circa 1850 to present. The Saint Joseph Catholic Tribune (1870-1942), and the Kansas City and Saint Joseph Catholic Register (1899-present) have been microfilmed and are available from Notre Dame University. Microfilm of Baptism and Marriage registers can be read on site.
