Frequently asked questions on Proposal Preparation and Award Administration

GPG (Grant Proposal Guide)
The GPG is for investigators and those who are heavily involved in the proposal development and/or research, but are not heavily involved in the university administration of the award. Therefore, while some award management information is provided, it is not detailed.

GPM (Grant Policy Manual)
The GPM is the document that provides the most detailed award administration information. This is the main source that divisional or university administrators should consult with questions regarding an award. If the answer is not found, it is suggested we contact the awarding NSF program office or the Policy Office of the NSF Division of Contracts, Policy, and Oversite at: policy@nsf.gov.
