Absolom and E.T. Martin Papers (KC299)

The Martin brothers fought in the same Confederate regiment in the Civil War. In their letters home to their family, they refer to the "38th" which could have been from Alabama or Virginia.

The collection consists of letters written from various war camp locations and a hospital in Virginia. Usually the brothers would write their own separate letters on a single piece of paper. 1863-1864
