Ward Parkway has served as the setting for numerous community activities over the years. The reflecting pool just south of Country Club Christian Church has been the location of model sailboat regattas as shown here. In the wintertime the pool continues to serve as an occasional ice skating rink whenever the weather cooperates with an extended cold spell.
