The Design Services team consists of a construction project manager, interior design associate, drafting technician and shared support staff.

The campus performs construction or remodeling projects with in-house staff on projects with a total value of less than $80,000. This figure is reviewed periodically by the University of Missouri System Facilities Planning and Development office and is keyed to the Construction Cost index.  Projects which would result in a change in the exterior appearance of a facility require review and approval by the Board of Curators.

The Design Services team also periodically provide services for major construction projects.  Architects and engineers may obtain copies of asbuilts through the UMKC project manager associated with the project.
