A work order begins with a service
request. This service can be preventative maintenance,
corrective maintenance, or any type of facilities need.
Service requests for work can be made over the telephone and
through the printed service request form above.
When
a service request is received, CFM will prepare a Work Order
Estimate, if required. It will then be forwarded to
the requesting party with an Approval Memo, giving the department
the opportunity to either approve the estimate or to cancel
the request. The Approval Memo should be signed and
returned to CFM Business Operation at GSB 101 or by fax
to *1355. If the estimate is under $100, an Approval
Memo will not be sent.
Some
scopes of work do not require an Estimate as they are services
provided free of charge by CFM to the department.
These include but are not limited to plumbing repairs, roof
leaks, elevator repairs, toilet and sink repairs, light
replacement, or door lock repairs.
