A parking permit is required to park in any non-metered parking lot. Students may purchase a day permit for $96 per semester or an evening permit for $77 per semester. The day permit allows the student to park 24 hours per day, on a space available basis, in the Rockhill Parking Structure Area 32S, Oak Street Parking Structure Area 32N, Area 32W, Area 32E and Area 99 on the Volker campus and Area 67 and Area 68 on the Hospital Hill campus. After 4:15 pm daily, students who purchase day or evening permits can also park in most non-metered areas on campus - with the exception of those areas posted as no night student parking.
No permit is required to park in metered lots on campus, but everyone must pay when parked in a metered parking space. The current cost is $0.75 per hour and is enforced 6:00am to 10:00pm Monday through Friday.
Visitors are welcome on the UMKC campus and should park in metered parking areas, or obtain an appropriate visitor pass.
