Parking Meters

Parking is available in the metered areas located in Area 40 (east of the University Center), Area 41 (east of the Spencer Chemistry Building), Area 42 (52nd & Cherry), Area 43 (north of the dormitory), Area 44 (south side of Grant Hall) and Area 47 (paystation lot west of Administrative Center). Parking meters cost 75 cents per hour. Anytime a vehicle is parked in a metered space the meter MUST be paid.

Day Student Permit Parking

Student parking permits are available for the student permit lots.  Semester permits are $96 per semester.  Single semester permits must be renewed each semester.  

Volker campus:  Rockhill Structure at 52nd & Rockhill (Area 32S), west of the Education Bldg. (Area 32W), Oak St. Structure at 50th & Cherry (Area 32N), east of Biological Sciences at 51st & Troost (Area 32E) and 48th & Forest (Area 99).

Health Sciences Complex:  Nursing Annex lot (Area 67), 25th & Charlotte (Area 68) and Hospital Hill Structure at 24th & Charlotte (Area 28).

Night Student Permit Parking

Faculty/staff and student permit lots will be restricted until 4:15pm daily. After 4:15pm, most permit lots will be available to students who purchase day or night student parking permits.  Night semester student permits are $77 per semester. 

Night student permits are not applicable in the following areas:

  • Area 12, Bloch School of Business, row closest to Cherry;
  • Area 14, Law School, north side row closest to building;
  • Area 15, School of Education, row closest to 52nd Street;
  • Area 24, Administrative Center, row closest to building;
  • Area 27, East side of Performing Arts Center;
  • Berkley Child and Family Development Center;

    Any other area so designated by appropriate signs.

    Disability Permit Parking

    Individuals who require disability parking should contact the Parking Operations Office. A disability permit is $96 per semester and must be renewed each semester.
