STATEMENT ON REPORTED ROBBERY TO THE UMKC POLICE DEPARTMENT

 

At 6:02 p.m., Monday, May 2, the University of Missouri-Kansas City Police Department received a report of a display of a handgun and theft of a vehicle that occurred at approximately 5:50 p.m., in parking area 99 located at 48 th Street and Forest (east side of 4747 Troost).

 

The two victims, UMKC students, had pulled their vehicle into the parking area and were approached by two African American male suspects. One of the two suspects displayed a handgun and demanded the victims' vehicle keys and wallets.  The victims complied with the demand and the suspects drove away in the victim's vehicle.

Descriptions

  •   Suspect 1 – African American male; approximately 5'7” in height; slim build; wearing a brown coat with a hood. Estimated age: 25.
  •   Suspect 2 – African American male; approximately 5'8” in height; slim build; wearing a black coat.     Estimated age: 25.
