STATEMENT ON STOLEN AUTO REPORTED TO THE UMKC POLICE DEPARTMENT

 

At 4:22 p.m., Wednesday, June 11,2008, the University of Missouri-Kansas City Police Department received a report of a stolen vehicle that occurred in the parking lot (Area 44) located on the south side of Grant Hall. 

The victim, a UMKC student, parked her vehicle at a parking meter and got out to put money in the meter, leaving the door open and the car running. At that time, two black males jumped in and drove off with her car. The student was not approached by the suspects. There is no detailed description of the suspects. The UMKC Police Department is conducting an investigation into this incident.
