Motorist Assistance
The UMKC Police Department patrol vehicles are equipped with jumper cables. Patrol officers will be happy to make the cables available to motorists and assist where possible.
Vehicle Lockout Assistance
If you lock your keys in your vehicle on campus, officers will be happy to attempt to unlock your vehicle.
Personal Escort Services
Personal escort services are provided Monday thru Thursday from 6 p.m. until 11 p.m. by
the UMKC 'Safewalk' program. If you require an escort at other times, contact the UMKC Police at 235-1515.
Bicycle Registration
Bicycle registration service is available through the UMKC Police at 4825 Troost, room 214B.
Emergency Notification
Emergency notification and locator service is available through the UMKC Police Department at 4825 Troost, room 214B, at (816)235-1515.
Fingerprinting
Fingerprinting service is available to UMKC students, faculty and staff at UMKC Police Headquarters, 4825 Troost, room 213, by appointment only Monday through Friday from 10 am - 2 pm. The charge is $5 per fingerprint card. Call 816/ 235-1515 for an appointment.
Found property is kept by the UMKC Police and at the University Center Information Desk. To check if your property has been turned in, call the Police Department at 816/ 235-1515 or the Information Desk at 816/ 235-5555.
