Finance and Administration

Business Services

 

The Business Services Departments provide services to UMKC departments, the community, faculty, staff and students.  Business Services also manages real estate operations for the campus, including the management of residential rental properties and the acquisition, sales and leasing of property.

Central Ticket Office

The Central Ticket Office provides ticketing services for many UMKC-sponsored events, as well as for select theatres, music, dance, lectures, benefits and other organizations in the greater Kansas City area.

Environmental Health and Safety

The department of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) is a centralized service for monitoring the acquisition, storage, use, and proper disposal of hazardous materials used in teaching, research, and industrial services at UMKC. EHS provides training to the campus and has in conjunction with other campus departments, as developed the campus Emergency Operations Plan (pdf) and Emergency Response Guide (pdf).

Mail Services

Mail Services is responsible for campus mail delivery, courier services between the UM campuses, parcel pick up/delivery, and bulk mail preparations.

Parking

Parking Operations is responsible for everything related to parking on the UMKC campuses including the following:

• Providing parking information
• Issuing permits
• Enforcing parking regulations

Police

The Police Department is an essential university partner promoting a safe and orderly learning environment and enhanced quality of life by working to reducing crime, social disorder and fear of crime. In case of an emergency while on campus, please call the UMKC Police at 816-235-1515.

Real Estate

The UMKC Homes Real Estate office manages more than 115 residential properties in the neighborhood south of campus, either owned by the Curators of the University of Missouri or the UMKC Trustees. For information on UMKC Homes rental properties, please contact Gayle Cockriel at 816-235-1130.

UMKC Bookstore

The UMKC Bookstore has locations on both the Volker and Health Sciences campuses and offers for purchase books, apparel, technology items and accessories to students, faculty and staff.
