Environmental Health and Safety

UMKC campus

The Department of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) is a centralized service for monitoring the acquisition, storage, use, and proper disposal of hazardous materials used in teaching, research, and industrial services at UMKC.

UMKC is endeavoring to participate in the Regional Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan, which details steps and actions local governments can take to lessen the impacts of disasters.

The Mid-America Regional Council is asking for feedback on UMKC’s portion of the plan from University students, faculty and staff.
