STATEMENT ON REPORTED ROBBERY TO THE UMKC POLICE DEPARTMENTThe victim, a UMKC student, was entering the Miller Nichols Library when she was approached by two females. One of the female suspects asked the victim if she could use her cellular telephone to call a friend for a ride home. After using the cell phone the suspect sprayed the victim with a substance that may have been ‘mace,' took the victim's car keys and left the area. The suspects then went to parking area 40 where the victim's vehicle was located and drove away.
The victim was treated on the scene by medic units with MAST and released.
