You are here: UMKC Admissions : Getting Re-admitted

Students returning to complete their UMKC degree: Students who are returing to complete their degree must meet all of the requirements below:
- You were not enrolled at UMKC in the term previous to the one you are now attempting to register for.
- You have not enrolled in classes at any other institution since last attending UMKC.(Please Note: Students who have attended another institution will need to reapply using the regular application. As a returning student, you are ineligible to use the online application process, and will need to mail or hand deliver an application to us.)
- If you are a graduate student, you have not been out of your program for more than two consecutive semesters (not inluding summer).
- If you are an undergraduate student, you have not been out of your program for more than three consecutive semesters (not including summer).
- You wish to re-enroll in the same academic unit and the same degree program in which you were previously enrolled. Note: You cannot be re-admitted to a program in which you have already earned a degree. If you are wanting to enroll in a different degree program, you will need to fill out a new application.
- You were not a Visiting Student or enrolled through the Office of Continuing Education.
- You are not a student in Dentistry, Law, Medicine, Pharmacy, Graduate Biological Sciences, or Conservatory (must audition if out for more than one semester). Note: If you fall into this category, please contact our office at 1-800-775-8652 or 816-235-1111 for information on how to proceed.
If you meet all of the above requirements, please visit our office and ask for a 'request to re-enroll' form.
