Sylvia Griffith Wheeler is the author of Dancing Alone and City Limits. She is also the editor of In the Middle: Midwestern Women Poets and For Kids, By Kids. Her play, This Fool History, based on South Dakota oral history tapes, won the Fargo-Moorhead Community Theatre's Midwestern Playwright's Merit Award. She taught English at the University of South Dakota for many years.
