Stacey Tolbert, Eileen Bluestone Sherman, Jacqueline Guidry, and
Sally Goldenbaum highlight the next Kansas City Women Writers Series
at 7 p.m. Oct. 17 at the University Center, Room 106. Tolbert,
recent UMKC alum and Cave Canem fellow, is author of Baring My Soul
and the documentary Got Breast? Sherman, playwright and novelist,
has won two Emmys and the National Jewish Book Award. Guidry’s novel
The Year the Colored Sisters Came to Town won the Thorpe Menn Award
and was a Kansas City United We Read book. Goldenbaum has published
over thirty mystery novels, including the Queen Bee Quilters series.
