Process

All UMKC materials and communications to be distributed externally, or those materials that may be seen by UMKC audiences, must carry the UMKC brand, consistent with the guidelines of the UMKC brand standards.
A brand review e-mailbox has been established for the campus. Send e-mail with a PDF attachment to brand@umkc.edu for answers to your brand questions within 48 hours. In addition, the University Communications Creative Services department can provide consultation and expertise for brand applications.

Q. How do I get answers to questions about using
the UMKC logo and the "brand elements"?
A. Individual questions about UMKC brand policy, elements and implementation
can be e-mailed to the UMKC Brand Manager,
brand@umkc.edu.
Q. I'm just making a little flyer for my
department, so is UMKC branding necessary?
A. Yes, especially these days. Think of the
UMKC "brand" as equal to its reputation. Any contradictory message or
miscommunication can interfere with that reputation. The right logo and
brand information can go along way toward making sure the relationship
between your department and UMKC is clear -- especially to those unfamiliar
with the organization and workings of a large public University.
