The mission of the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management is to enrich the lives of students through quality educational services and purposeful co-curricular programming. Our purpose is to support the academic mission of the university by facilitating learning opportunities outside of the classroom that allow students to explore and to develop into life-long learners.
The out-of-classroom experience is significant at UMKC in that it integrates with our students' academic development to provide an enriched total university life experience. This Division champions a vibrant and extensive co-curricular program which offers support services that help students attain their academic goals.
The Vice Chancellor's Office provides overall leadership for a comprehensive program of student services through 18 service units and 13 academic/student affairs liaisons. Descriptions of divisional departments as well as academic liaison areas are as follows.
