Community Counseling and Assessment Services: Outreach
CCAS is now offering outreach presentations to area schools, mental health groups, and other community agencies. The outreach presentation is currently an introductory presentation on depression in childhood and adolescence. Areas reviewed will be common symptoms and myths of child/youth depression, what to do as a parent, and treatment options. Two or three graduate student presenters will facilitate the presentation, as well as discussion of content. The presenters will also distribute checklists and other materials so that parents may better identify these potential difficulties in their children. The presentation will be about one hour.
