Staff Council Awards Program

Same Spaces New Faces -- Open House for the new Multicultural Student Affairs Center and the MindBody Connection, a collaboration of Counseling and Student Health
3-6 p.m.
University Center - Live Latin music, food, raffle prizes and giveaways.
This festive joint open house event will serve as an introduction to the new Mind-Body Connection office offered through the Counseling Center and the new location of the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs. All UMKC students, staff and faculty are encouraged to come out and see our new space and become familiar with the student-centered programs and services offered this year. Food will be provided. Invitation-only lunch for selected campus faculty and administration, Trustee scholars, award recipients, constituent leaders and elected officials. This will provide a chance for the campus to interact with our alumni who hold seats in the Missouri legislature.

Festival de Culturas

UMKC Playhouse
This celebration of Hispanic culture will feature folk dance performance, tango performance, DJ, sive music, Latin food, crafts and activities for kids.

The purpose of the Festival de Culturas at UMKC is to continue to attract the UMKC community as well as the  Hispanic community of the greater Kansas City to celebrate with us the culture and traditions of the fastest growing minority in the United States. The festival is part of the UMKC Hispanic Heritage Month celebration.
