Chancellor involvement

UMKC is engaged in the community - and so is the university's chancellor. Chancellor Morton's wide-ranging civic involvement includes:

• Serving as chairman of the advisory board of Prep-KC, a major regional youth educational development organization

• Serving as co-chair of the Kansas City Area Development Council Board of Directors

• Serving as Champion for the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce "Big 5" goal of Moving UMKC's World-Class Arts Programs to a New Downtown Location

Serving as a member of:

• The Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City Board
• The Civic Council of Greater Kansas City Board
• The Blue Valley School District Business and Education for Schools of Tomorrow (BEST) committee
