I may have been exposed to herpes through sex with a new partner 3 weeks ago.  I used protection at the time and have not had any unusual genital lesions.  Later a third person told me the new partner had told her she had a chronic std, but didn’t specify which one.

Do I need to be concerned about spreading herpes to another partner?  What should I do next?
