Computer Based Testing

  The Testing Center is a Computer Based Test (CBT) site for test distributed by the Education Testing Service (ETS). Those tests are listed below, with their link to specific ETS program information. Please note that UMKC is identified as test site # 7573.

Computer Based Testing at UMKC is generally offered three days each week (Monday, Thursday and Saturday) with either a morning or afternoon appointment available. Most tests require a four-hour block of testing time, but program specifics should be checked. Morning appointments begin at 7:30 a.m. and afternoon appointments begin at 11:30 a.m. Candidates are asked to arrive at the Testing Center 20-30 minutes before their scheduled appointment time for preliminary check-in procedures.

Registration for testing may be completed by calling the Testing Center at
(816)235-1635* or by calling the 1-(800) number specific to each program. Payment via credit card secures the appointment time. Payment by check or money order requires the candidates to register in person. When registration is complete, a confirmation number is issued, but an admission ticket is not sent. Please note that all programs have cancellation and re-scheduling policies that are associated with various fees. These guidelines may be reviewed at the specific program web site.

On the day of testing, candidates must provide proof of identification. While a government issued I.D. is standard, program specifics should be consulted. Personal items brought to the Testing Center should be kept to a minimum. Pencils and scratch paper will be provided, as no personal belongings are allowed in the testing room.

Score reports for CBT exams are provided at the conclusion of the test with "official score reports" sent within two weeks of the test date.
