Campaign 101 is a nonpartisan political training that is neutral on issues and races.

  • Make a personal assessment of readiness to run;
  • Identify a race that meets your personal passion and interests;
  • Learn campaign logistics including characteristics of an effective mailer, strategy for absentee voters, and election day operations;

  • Develop a fund-raising strategy;
  • Articulate your campaign platform;
  • Leverage the media; and
  • Practice speech skills.
  • Date:

    4 week session beginning Wednesdays, April 23, 2014 and ending Wednesday, May 14, 2014. 

    Time:

    5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

    Location:

    UMKC Administrative Center

    5115 Oak St. Kansas City, MO 64110

    Cost:

    $160 includes all materials, snacks AND chocolate.
