What's Next?

What's Next? is a 7-week self-discovery series. It is intended for
women who need support and techniques to identify and explore their next steps
for civic engagement.
Appreciate the role of public policy in our communities - how it is made,
and how it can be influenced.
Discover how to use your mind to overcome barriers and maximize creative potential.
Identify personal passion and understand how that can influence the local community.
Understand the context of women in leadership.
Develop a plan for taking on leadership roles within the local community.

Faculty
Moira A. Mulhern, Ph.D.,
has extensive
experience designing and implementing stress management, support and training
programs for local hospitals and companies. She is a sought-after lecturer on
issues related to the management of stress, resilience and chronic illness.
Julie Warm, Ph.D.,
Director UMKC Civic
Engagement Program,
has expertise and experience in local government, non-profit management, and
higher education administration. With the UMKC Civic Engagement Program, she
helps women engage in civic life. Julie is also co-director of service-learning
program at UMKC.
