- Purchase your regalia.

College of Arts and Sciences
Doors to Swinney Recreation Center open at 3 p.m. for guests. Leave all personal items with family members.
Arrive at Pierson Auditorium by 3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 18. Please dress in your cap and gown.
Conservatory of Music and Dance
Robing and Schedule
Doors to Swinney Recreation Center open at noon for guests. Leave all personal items with family members.
Arrive at Pierson Auditorium no later than 12:00 p.m., dressed in cap and gown.
Henry W. Bloch School of Business and Public Administration
Purchasing Regalia
Undergraduates must purchase cap and gown at the University Bookstore.
Ph.D. and M.B.A/.M.S.A./M.P.A. candidates should contact the commencement coordinator if they have questions. They may also order their regalia from the University Bookstore.
Robing and Schedule
Doors to Swinney Recreation Center open at noon for guests. Leave all personal items with family members.
Arrive at the University Center, Pierson Auditorium no later than 12:15 p.m., please dress in your cap and gown.
Pick up name card from tables and find your place in line.
At this time you will receive instructions on how to walk in processional, where to sit in Swinney, and how to walk across the stage for the reading of names.
Procession begins at 12:55 p.m. sharp from Pierson Auditorium into Swinney Recreation Center.
Commencement ceremony begins at 1 p.m.
Rented regalia must be returned to room 106 in the University Center.
School of Biological Sciences
Purchasing Regalia
Undergraduates and M.A./M.S. candidates can purchase cap and gown at UMKC
Bookstore.
Ph.D. candidates can contact the Commencement Coordinator to rent
regalia.
Robing and Schedule
Doors to Swinney Recreation Center open at noon for guests. Leave all personal items with family members.
Arrive at Pierson Auditorium no later than 12:15 p.m., dressed in cap and gown.
Pick up name card from tables and find your place in line behind the appropriate sign based upon degree group (B.A./B.S., M.A./M.S., and Ph.D.) and number on card.
At this time you will receive instructions on how to walk in processional, where to sit in Swinney Recreation Center, and how to walk across the stage for the reading of names.
Procession begins at 12:55 sharp into Swinney Recreation Center.
Commencement ceremony begins at 1 p.m.
Rented regalia must be returned to Pierson room 206 or make arrangements with the Commencement Coordinator.
School of Computing and Engineering
Doors to Swinney Recreation Center open at noon for guests. Leave all personal items with family members.
Arrive at Pierson Auditorium , University Center, no later than noon.
School of Education
Purchasing Regalia
Regalia may be purchased at the UMKC Bookstore.
The academic dress for your specific degree must be purchased. The color for the School of Education tassels, for all but doctoral students, is powder blue. Doctoral students have gold tassels.

If you anticipate the need for special arrangements for your guests, such as wheelchairs, VIP parking or assistance for the hearing impaired, please contact your Commencement Coordinator by Dec. 14.
School of Law
Doors to Swinney open at noon and graduates are asked to arrive at Pierson Auditorium, University Center, between noon and 12:30 p.m. for robing.
School of Medicine
Robing and Schedule
Students need to be at Pierson Auditorium no later than 12:30 p.m. the day of graduation. Student academic regalia – cap, gown, hood, and tassel, will be available at Pierson Auditorium upon arrival.

School of Nursing
Purchasing Regalia
Regalia may be purchased at the UMKC Bookstore. The academic dress for your specific degree must be purchased. The tassel for nursing is apricot.
