The UMKC Legislative Advocacy Network is a coalition of alumni, students, parents, faculty/staff, and friends of the University who work to promote UMKC and higher education.

Members of the Legislative Advocacy Network receive regular updates about issues in Jefferson City and Washington, DC that affect UMKC and higher education. Members are encouraged to contact elected officials and other community leaders about the University and its legislative priorities. Members are also invited to attend meetings and other events with elected officials.

The Legislative Advocacy Network is governed by the Legislative Affairs committee of the UMKC Board of Trustees and the UMKC Alumni Association. Members of the Legislative Affairs committee are:
