Partnerships and Memberships

Our partners

Partnering with neighborhood, community and civic organizations is a UMKC hallmark. Partnerships with area institutions, articulation agreements, service on area boards, sponsoring community programs, and being a partner in community initiatives are a just a few of the ways UMKC connects with the community to make a positive impact.

In fact, UMKC has been named among the top 25 “Best Neighbor” institutions for its community partnerships by the New England Board of Higher Education. The university has also been recognized by the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll since the honor roll’s inception in 2006.

The Office of Community and Public Affairs stays attuned to the needs of the community through active community engagement. The formulation of ideas and solutions to address those needs are developed through partnerships and collaboration with our community partners and a variety of offices and departments across campus.
