Brett Haskell, M.S.

Brett received her B.S. in Psychology from The University of Nebraska at Kearney and her M.S. in Exercise Science-Sport Psychology from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Brett is currently a doctoral candidate in Counseling Psychology at the University of Kansas. Her primary orientation is interpersonal, but she draws on a number of other interventions (cognitive-behavioral, ACT, and solution-focused) to assist clients in building coping strategies and resources to have their needs met. Brett places a special emphasis on the therapeutic alliance, believing this is the primary vehicle for helping clients experience change in their lives. She approaches psychotherapy from a strengths-based perspective to empower clients to achieve their desired goals. Brett has special training in the area of performance enhancement and sport psychology, utilizing skills such as goal-setting, relaxation, and thought management to help athletes maximize their potential. In her spare time, Brett enjoys chasing around her 1-year-old son, and trying out new restaurants with her family.
