Heather Noble, Ph.D.

Dr. Heather Noble received her Ph.D. in counseling psychology from the University of North Texas in 2003 and became a licensed psychologist in the state of Missouri in 2004. She is presently the coordinator of the Counseling Center’s training programs, including practicum and the APA-approved doctoral internship, and the Assess for Success program, which provides assessment services to assist students in their academic performance and overall well-being. Her special interests include traditional and non-traditional college students' development, psychoeducational and psychological assessment, and teaching/training undergraduate and graduate students in psychology. Her approach to individual counseling includes a strong humanistic focus with a foundational relationship between the client and the therapist.  This relationship fosters experiential awareness, growth, and empowerment for the client. She values being flexible to address a wide spectrum of client concerns through different conceptualizations and interventions, to meet the unique needs of each client. Her supervision model is also humanistic and existential with appreciation for using a holistic and developmental lens, while focusing upon the supervisees’ growth and leveraged strengths in the supervisory relationship.
