Heather Noble, Ph.D.
Dr. Heather Noble received her
Ph.D. in counseling psychology from the University of North Texas in
2003 and became a licensed psychologist in the state of Missouri in
2004. She is presently the coordinator of the Assess for Success program
and a staff psychologist. She works with adolescents and adults, both
affiliated with UMKC and from the Kansas City community. Her special
interests include college students' development, psychoeducational and
psychological assessment, couples counseling, and teaching/training
undergraduate and graduate students in psychology. Her approach to
individual counseling includes a strong humanistic focus on the
foundational relationship between the client and the therapist, thus
fostering experiential awareness, growth, and empowerment for the
client. She is flexible in approaching a wide spectrum of client
concerns through different conceptualizations and interventions, to meet
the unique needs of each client. Her supervision model is also
humanistic and existential with a holistic and developmental nature,
focusing upon the foundational relationship to support supervisees
growth and leverage their strengths.
