  • Tau Beta Pi (TBP) - National Engineering Honor Society

Our mechanical engineering students also participate in the following team competitions:

Admission Requirements

  • For admission in the Civil and Mechanical Engineering Department, a score of 25 on the Math section of the ACT is required. However, we do consider applicants with lower scores who have a good high school GPA and a strong Math and Science background.

Prerequisite Courses

  • Students in the Mechanical Engineering Program will be required to take the following courses in their first two years:

      • Calculus I
      • Calculus II
      • Calculus III
      • General Chemistry (with Lab)
      • Physics for Science and Engineering I
      • Physics for Science and Engineering II
      • English Composition II

Mechanical Engineering senior level elective courses:
  • Heating and Air Conditioning
  • Power Plant Design
  • Power Generation Systems
  • Metallic Materials
  • Non-Metalic Materials
  • Vehicle Dynamics

Other Programs Available

  • In addition to the Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, we also offer:
    • A Master's degree program in Mechanical Engineering
    • An Interdisciplinary Ph.D. degree program in Mechanical Engineering
