Why UMKC?

The mathematics and statistics department at UMKC encourages students to reason actively, not blindly, and to master mathematical tools while trusting their own innate originality.

In addition to being mentored by experienced faculty, undergraduate mathematics and statistics majors are afforded plenty of real-world opportunities, including tutoring at the Math Resource Center and teaching special UMKC algebra courses using video lectures.
