- Any interested student may gain entry into the pre-dental program.
Prerequisite Courses
Major Courses

Students participating in the pre-dental program will combine their pre-dental coursework with a major of their choosing in the natural sciences, social sciences, or humanities. Therefore, the major courses required depend upon the major that the pre-dental student chooses. Courses required for entry into dental schools differ depending upon the school. However, core courses for most dental schools include:
- one year of biology
- one year of general chemistry
- one year of organic chemistry
- one year of physics
- one year of English composition
- one semester of college algebra
- Pre-dental advisers help students select the correct courses to meet dental school entrance requirements.
Other Programs Available
- An optional minor in Healing and Humanities enables students to explore the complicated nature of health care relationships by integrating knowledge from the arts and humanities with the social and natural sciences.

The interdisciplinary nature of preparation for dental school allows students to learn from faculty in the following disciplines:
