Average Starting Salaries:
- Bachelor's level graduate, $26,000 per year
- Master's level graduate, $32,000 per year

Admission Requirements
- Freshmen and transfer students may apply to UMKC as pre-education and are admitted based on general University requirements.
- Candidates for admission to the School of Education are required to have completed all but 9 credit hours of their general education and pre-education coursework with a 2.75 cumulative GPA at the time of application (the deadline is March 1 of each year for admission the following summer). Applicants must also have a minimum 2.5 subject area GPA for admission.
- Applicants who have graduated from high school within five years of admission to the Teacher Education program must also submit a score for either the ACT or SAT exam.
- All students must submit a passing score on the College Basic Academic Subjects Examination (C-BASE).
