  • How do I apply to get Emeritus status at UMKC?

  • UMKC provides information about the process how to request Emeritus Status on the Faculty Affairs website: http://info.umkc.edu/facultyaffairs/emeritus/.

  • This process reflects the UM System Collected Rules and Regulations article CRR320.090 "Emeritus Designation".

  • The CRR regulations "Rule A" (May 2014) appear to limit emeritus status to regular (i.e. tenured and tenure-track) appointments with the rank of Professor and Associate Professor.
  • In practice, under the "B. Exceptions" regulation, emeritus status is awarded across a broader range of faculty titles, including non-regular/NTT faculty.
