In an attempt to ensure the authenticity of e-mail sent using addresses in the form of @umkc.edu, we are implementing new changes.  These changes will ensure that your e-mail is sent using UMKC servers, so that people receiving your e-mail will know it is authentic.

The technology we are using to ensure sender authenticity is known as SPF.  Currently we know that UMKC and AOL enforce published SPF settings. It is anticipated that more Internet Service Providers will adopt the technology to enforce these settings, reducing the amount of non-authentic e-mail.
