Alarm and Video Policies

Procedure Manual of the University of Missouri
Chapter 6 Section 140.
INSTALLATION OF VIDEO, SECURITY ALARMS OR CARD ACCESS SYSTEMS
It is the policy of the
University of Missouri-Kansas City that any and all video,
electronic security type alarm or card access systems that are
to be installed in or on any University owned or operated
properties will be done with the coordination of the University
Police Department and adhere to the
Equipment Technology Guidelines Policy
compatibility of systems and compliance with legal requirements.
The Director of the University Police or his/her designee will
work with the personnel from the campus department or
organization on the video, security alarm or card access system
to be installed. Any Crime Prevention survey or security
assessment of any University owned or operated building or
property will be completed by or in conjunction with the
University Police Department.
