Career Services provides a variety of services and programs in the area of career and life planning. The office is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.  Students may schedule individual appointments with professional career counselors and staff for help with:


  • choosing an academic major

  • assessing interests and values

  • clarifying goals

  • enhancing skills such as resume writing and interviewing

  • conducting a job search

Staff members are always available to speak to classes or organizations on the above topics. Students have access to a library of current reference materials related to career planning. Staff members develop and maintain contact with local, state, national and international employers.

Career Services also offers an employment database, www.careerexec.com. This database includes a full-time/part-time job and internship database open to all students.  Using this database, students can:

  • register online

  • perform a job search based on registered criteria

  • find possible job leads and contacts for follow-up

  • sign-up for on-campus employer interviews

  • store resumes and job opportunities.

The office sponsors and co-sponsors several employer fairs, career days, and many other career-related events throughout the academic year.
