Recognized student groups, UMKC administration and UMKC departments may request room reservations in the University Center, on the University Parkway or at the University Playhouse. Outside groups must meet the significant food service requirement in order to qualify for reservation requests. The University Center includes Pierson Auditorium, a large multipurpose ballroom, as well as conference and meeting rooms ranging in capacity from 15 to 125 participants. Pierson Auditorium holds up to 500 theater-styles, and as many as 425 banquet-styles. All catering in the University Center must be provided by UMKC Dining Services. Please note that reservations must be made at least three working days in advance through the Reservations Office, located on the upper level of the University Center, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
