Each student enrolled in credit courses at UMKC is assigned a Single-Sign-On (SSO) username, which provides access to UMKC e-mail, Pathway, student labs and much more. These accounts are used for official University communications. Students are strongly encouraged to check their e-mail accounts regularly for important announcements and information. Visit the Web site above to setup your password online. You can get additional assistance at any of the IS-managed computer labs or by contacting the UMKC Call Center at 816-235-2000.

The primary goal of Classroom Technology Services is to enable academic excellence by developing, implementing, and maintaining environments that empower teaching and learning for the faculty and students at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. A significant emphasis is placed on classroom technology. Students can access the KnowledgeBase@UMKC from a link on the UMKC Information Services Web site twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

Computer labs and computer kiosks are located in the Cherry Street and Oak Street Residence Halls as well as in the Oak Place Apartments. High-speed Internet connections are provided for each resident bringing their own computer to the Cherry Street and Oak Street Residence Halls, as well as Oak Place Apartments. Students will want to review the above Web site and get their computer ready to access the UMKC network before bringing their computer to the Residence Halls.

RooTools is a collection of software and instruction sets designed to assist UMKC students, faculty and staff in connecting to UMKC resources, communicating with each other and protecting their personal computers. The software requires Windows XP or Windows Vista.
