Student Health and Wellness is committed to helping students achieve and maintain optimal health. Health care providers in Student Health can assess, diagnose and treat acute illnesses and stable chronic illnesses and can prescribe medication as appropriate. Additional services include immunizations, physical examinations, pregnancy and STD testing, contraceptive counseling and allergy injections with patient-provided serum. Selected laboratory tests are available onsite; others are available through a reference laboratory. There is no visit charge for students. Insurance coverage is not required. Selected services or laboratory testing may involve a charge. Student Health is open daily on an appointment basis and open later on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Health Promotion services are available through a health educator to address preventive health topics and the promotion of healthy lifestyles.
The Student Health Pharmacy is a part time pharmacy directed by a registered pharmacist. Students may fill prescriptions for a variety of medications. The pharmacy does not contract with all insurance programs. Please call the pharmacy about specific medication questions. The pharmacy is open part- time.
