Studying abroad allows students to travel outside the United States and experience new cultures and environments while earning academic credit and completing their degrees. By studying abroad, students embark on experiences that have the potential to change their lives, expand their knowledge, create long-lasting friendships, and establish connections all around the globe. UMKC students have a world of options available to them through the Center for International Academic Programs (CIAP).
CIAP helps with all aspects of planning for study abroad, including preparing for departure, overseas stay and return to the United States. For a detailed listing of available study abroad programs, deadlines and related scholarships, please visit our Web site. When planning to study abroad, it is important to start the process early in order to choose a suitable program, speak with academic and financial aid advisors, and apply for study abroad scholarships.
