The Writing Center is a free service available to all UMKC students. Writing Center tutors work with students of all levels, first year through graduate, and from all the schools and divisions of the University. Whether it’s developing ideas, organizing essays, or honing grammar skills, the Writing Center can help. Tutors generally work on an appointment basis, so it’s a good idea to call ahead or drop by to schedule a time. Tutoring hours during the fall and winter semester are Monday through Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
